Update Settings – London Theatre Direct WordPress Plugin

Update Settings

Overview

Whether you plan on completely customising your new ticketing website, or you just want to let the Data Manager handle all updates and synchronisation automatically, it is useful to know what control you have over how data is synchronised by the plugin.

The Update Settings can be found in the Data Manager.  To open the Data Manager first log into WordPress, then using the left-hand menu, navigate to Theatre Tickets > Data Manager

Update Frequency

As you can probably guess, this dropdown controls how often the plugin will try and synchronise data with the London Theatre Direct API.  By default the plugin will perform a daily update.  When the plugin updates, it will first check your ‘Auto Import‘ settings.  If you have chosen to automatically import new Products, Venues or Categories, the plugin will compare your website with the API and automatically import new data based on your settings.  The plugin will then check your ‘Product Update’ and ‘Venue Update’ settings, to determine which fields should be synchronised.  If you are using the default settings then all pricing, special offers, start and end dates and important notices will be updated.

As a Whitelabel or AWIN user, you may only synchronise data on a Daily or Weekly schedule.  As an API user you can choose to synchronise on an Hourly schedule.

Product Update Values

This section controls which individual Product data fields will by synchronised by the plugin.

If you have edited a Product and changed any values, make sure you uncheck the necessary fields to prevent your changes being lost!
