As well as a lot of bug fixes and code refactoring, that with any luck you should never notice, there have also been a couple of significant changes in Version 1.2 of the London Theatre Direct plugin.  Here’s a rundown of the important stuff…

Change of Category Page URLs

In order to fix a URL conflict with the very popular WooCommerce e-shop plugin, there has been a change to category page URLs.  Previously, product category taxonomy pages were displayed with the slug ‘products’, like /products/musical/ this was found to clash with the URL slugs WooCommerce uses, preventing either plugin from working correctly.  To fix this, the product category taxonomy slug has been changed to ‘whats-on’.  This means that after updating to Version 1.2 of the plugin your musicals page will now be found at /whats-on/musical/. 

Please Note: After updating to Version 1.2 you will have to re-save your Permalinks.  To do this, log into WordPress, and navigate to Settings > Permalinks.  You don’t have to change anything here, just click ‘Save Changes’ and WordPress will flush your old Permalink rules.
